Neck and neck as fleet pass Caribbean
Diego Fructuoso/Team Telefonica/Volvo Ocean Race
The front three teams were neck and neck on Friday as they skirted round the Caribbean Islands.
At the last position report, at 0100 UTC, PUMA led by eight miles over CAMPER but behind them Telefonica were making constant gains, hitting the highest speeds in the fleet as they passed east of Antigua.
Groupama sailing team and Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing also carved out gains on the leaders as they continued their catch-up.
Due to technical problems, the 0400 UTC position report could not be issued. The Volvo Ocean Race team is working on fixing the issues as soon as possible.
