  • I am pleased to see this recent development, believe a one design boat will make for more participation, more focus on the sailors, and potentially closer racing. I believe Farr has drawn and will oversee construction of a great new boat as well.

  • I guess this is lowering the overall cost of production, which if it does and it means more entrants, then I am for it!

  • In two minds on this one. I always liked the development side of the Volvo but 6 boats, most breaking and delaminating every leg, well that's no fun. Still this is a Volvo event and they are boring cars so what do you expect. Go the Vendee is all I can say. 19+ skippers, non stop, now that's hardcore, not just a sailing billboard race like this is turning out to be.

  • hopefully the new 67' boats will last the entire race; it will be sold as the wreckless mad tour it has been, break or win! brought to you by the volvo car maker? ok... what did i miss?

  • These boats will make the race even better next year !!!
