    1. One of Britain’s most successful sailors, Walker earned his first Olympic silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and won another in Sydney four  years later. The father of two girls has also skippered and managed two America’s Cup campaigns and coached Shirley Robertson to an Olympic gold in 2004. He had his first Volvo Ocean Race experience as skipper of Green Dragon in 2008-09 and is confident he has a much better chance of victory this time with a better funded team and a new boat.

Morgan heroically jumped into the water to cut Abu Dhabi’s mast free when it came crashing down on Leg 1 of the 2011-12 edition.
