Abu Dhabi joins the race

The United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi, has been included in the 2011-12 race route. A racing team from Abu Dhabi will also be on the start line in Alicante, Spain in the autumn of next year.

Galway to stage 2011-12 finale

Galway has been selected as the finish port for the 2011-12 race. The Irish port, the stopover for the transatlantic leg in the previous edition, saw off strong opposition from rival cities in the port bidding process.
