The race, which will use the same start line as the Volvo Ocean Race, but approximately 45 minutes earlier, will be about 462 nautical miles long. The fleet will be berthed in Volvo Ocean Race Village in Gothenburg from 14 June, so, if the history of the race is your thing, this gathering is going to be a real indulgence. Not only will it be possible to poke about on boats from many eras of the race – they will be open to the public in Gothenburg and The Hague – a parade of sail and a dock out ceremony are on the agenda too.
On top of that, there will be a special Whitbread Race bar in Gothenburg to hang out in and enjoy the Legends exhibition staged there.
A full schedule of Legends Race events will be arranged, both in Gothenburg at the start and in The Hague after the finish. Full information is released as it becomes available, so stay tuned in by following us on Facebook, or contact us by email on email@example.com.
