Telling the story of the Spanish boat this edition, Argentinian Francisco Vignale has seen his fair share of ecstasy, frustration and big waves.

Here, the boy from Buenos Aires gives us his favourite five photos of the race - and the reasons why they mean so much to him...

November 2, 2014. Leg 1 from Alicante to Cape Town.

During Leg 1, surfing waves with lots of water on deck. Xabi was on the grinder and a huge mountain of water arrived the moment I took the photo. Perfect timing!

October 22, 2014. Leg 1 from Alicante to Cape Town.

This is one of my favourite photos from the race, because shows the grace and beauty of this sport, and how nice it can be on a calm day.

October 31, 2014. Leg 1 from Alicante to Cape Town.

Sunsets are the most awesome things to see whilst sailing. This was one of those amazing moments when you just have to stop what you're doing and look.

January 12, 2015. Leg 3 from Abu Dhabi to Sanya.

Against the elements: Carlos is passing a rope in leeward side against wind and water. I like this photo because it shows just how physically hard is to do this race.

March 29, 2015. Leg 5 from Auckland to Itajaí.

Being a surfer who sailed around the world, this photo represents how similar the two sports are. Needless to say, getting barrelled on a Volvo Ocean 65 was a big pleasure!
